Lorraine Buhr

Lorraine’s health and fitness journey started in 2010 when she hired a trainer and got to work on her own lifestyle transformation. She was a busy mom of three and running multiple businesses alongside her husband, Russ. She worked hard in the gym and saw the positive impacts that healthy eating and working out had on her entire life. Lorraine worked hard and as she got more serious, decided to compete in her first bodybuilding competitions in 2012. With Lorraine’s new-found passion, she became certified as a personal trainer in 2013. In-between training clients, she continued to work towards her own goals and in 2014 competed in SABBA Women’s Physique. In 2015 Lorraine won the SABBA Women’s Physique Masters Class and was Runner-up in the Open Class. She continued to train hard to compete at CBBF Nationals in 2016.

Lorraine is a dedicated coach and has seen clients of various backgrounds, abilities, and needs through to their goals. Lorraine works with clients to identify their unique goals and creates a plan which meets the individual’s needs with sustainability over time. She works with clients on weight loss transformation, lifestyle & maintenance, and contest prep athletes. The diversity of her clients has included seniors with osteoarthritis, knee & hip replacements, personal & athletic injuries, sciatica, bulged & slipped discs, rotator cuff, tennis elbow, and more. Lorraine can create a plan to accommodate the individual’s physical abilities, as well as dietary restrictions. Lorraine is also certified in Therapeutic Sports Taping.

Lorraine is a passionate, dedicated coach and loves seeing her clients realize their potential, succeed in reaching goals, and the transformation that happens during the process. She continues to educate herself to stay relevant in best meeting client needs.

Chris Buhr

With ten years in the fitness industry, Chris’ passion stemmed from years as a competitive athlete. He successfully competed in football and track and field, and in 2005 he was a Canadian Champion in track and field sprinting. After suffering from sports-related injuries, he hung up his cleats and at 20, found himself weightlifting in the gym. This change of pace helped to build his self-esteem and he quickly found his way into the sport of bodybuilding.

Chris has won many competitions since he first stepped on stage in 2011. Most notably, Chris’ dedication to the sport led to his overall bodybuilding title of Mr. Saskatchewan at the 2015 & 2017 SABBA provincial championships. Placing 3rd at Canadian Nationals in October of 2018, Chris sets out to establish himself as one of the top bodybuilders in the country. He is dedicated each day to pursuing his goal of becoming a professional bodybuilder.

Chris worked in a corporate gym for 3 years before leaving to start his own coaching company, “Buhr’s Beasts”. He was turned off by the sales-based approach and the limitations placed on trainers. As a very passionate and dedicated coach, he specializes in working with competitive bodybuilders and fitness athletes. His approach has proven to be successful, as every client he has worked with has landed a top-three finish, majority finishing in first place. Chris has also worked with many lifestyle clients looking to live healthier, and some with eventual sights on the competitive stage.

Chris comes from years of experience and knows what it means to put in the work to reach one’s goals, but also live this lifestyle year-round. He is extremely passionate and excited to bring his personal training, injury rehabilitation and nutrition expertise to his clients.

“What I love most about coaching and training clients is having the ability to show people what they are truly capable of, pushing them beyond their limits with an honest and hard work ethic approach. Health and fitness is my lifestyle and I look forward to making it yours too!”
